Grants are made to 501 (c) 3 organizations located in or serving eastern NC with a particular focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 counties.
The Trust provides general operating, programmatic and capital support to organizations in eastern North Carolina working across multiple sectors. These include but are not limited to Education (pre-K – post secondary), Health and Human Services, the Arts and Culture, Historic Preservation, Community and Economic Development, the Environment and Historic Preservation.
The Trust’s grant process is by invitation only and reserved for those organizations with which a relationship has been established. Thus, the first step in the process is to contact Anonymous Trust via info@anonymoustrust.org or one of the staff members to schedule an introductory meeting to determine whether missions align. If invited to apply, qualifying organizations will be asked to complete the Trust’s standard Letter of Inquiry, outlining a proposal that corresponds with the Trust’s mission and its geographic focus.
If awarded a grant, Anonymous Trust will partner closely with the organization to support the work funded. It is our belief that staying connected with grantees allows us to add value beyond just financial resources as well as for us to learn and grow as an organization. We value open conversations about what’s working and what’s not.
Funded organizations will be asked to complete an annual Grantee Report which will measure the expected outcomes against the actual results, and share lessons learned, best practices, success stories and issue insights.
Organizations may contact the Trust for more information via the Contact us page of the website.
We are a band of five contrarian women trying to shake things up, challenge the status quo, incite others to join- united to make difference in eastern North Carolina.
